NGO: Equality, Dignity, Safety (EDS)

 

Mission Statement : Fight against any form of discrimination and work for safety, dignity and equality of human life.

The ‘Equality, Dignity and Safety’ (EDS) was established by Inner Search Foundation to work towards providing a decent quality of life where everyone can live with safety and dignity without any discrimination. EDS understands that compassion and effective care has the power to translate this basic right from an objective to actual reality. The right to lead dignified life it is important to:

  • Encourage and promote the individuality of each individual regardless of background.
  • Propagate that living safely with dignity and equality can only be achieved if everyone is confident of the same treatment.
  • Develop a sustainable infrastructure of care and support.
  • Sensitize and educate everyone about human right for the benefit of the society as a whole.

The formational of EDS is as per the stated objective of Inner Search Foundation’s Deed (objective 2/q &v) and is dedicated to work for eliminating of any discrimination.

EDS aims to support organizations in addressing issues related to sexual discrimination and harassment in workplaces by

Helping organizations formulate and adopt suitable policies.

Guiding and assisting in formulation of Internal Complaint Committee (ICC).​

Sensitizing and creating awareness in the organization about sexual harassment policy.​

Circulating relevant information at regular intervals through HR admin department of client’s office.

Nominating one of EDS members as an external member in ICC for attending quarterly meetings.

Advising on suitable guidance/training programmes as appropriate from time to time.
